Creatives on the Rise: Art & Identity Showcase
The "New Jersey Rising Stars: Art & Identity Showcase” at the Galleries at Kean framework aims to curate an engaging and inclusive platform for Superintendents of New Jersey to celebrate the artistic talent and exploration of identity among students in grades 9-12. Through the Colleagues Art Night event and associated pipeline activities, participants can showcase their artistic expressions and engage in a collaborative dialogue surrounding the theme of Art & Identity.
Families and community members can participate in interactive workshops tailored to various age groups during the academic year, encouraging artistic exploration and collaboration. These workshops cover diverse mediums, from painting to sketching and landscaping, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, the Galleries hosts family-friendly exhibitions, providing opportunities for parents and children alike to engage with fine art and spark meaningful conversations.
In the summer, the programming extends outdoors, with sculpture walks enjoying our outdoor art collection that brings people together to celebrate creativity and togetherness. These events feature music, food, and hands-on art activities for all ages, transforming the Galleries into a vibrant hub of summer fun.
