Finding Your Renovation

Today’s cultural influences motivate our fashion choices and the contemporary art landscape. Artist Amanda Yoakum brings three-dimensional, Warhol-influenced, pop culture art to Van sneakers. Paired with two-dimensional paintings, her unique perspective of the world comes out with color-rich elements of design. This combination of artworks inspires self-reflection about who we are and where we are as a society.

By bringing this exhibition to Kean University, we want to harness the power of familiar imagery to connect students to art and encourage them to tap into their own creativity while learning about pop culture and social issues.
