Making an Impact
Making an Impact is a multidisciplinary panel discussion co-hosted by the Galleries at Kean, EEI, The Dorothy and George Hennings College of Science, Mathematics and Technology, and the College of Business and Public Management.
The mission of the Galleries is to build awareness of critical global issues. The 2022 2023 academic year theme, Art and Sustainability, utilizes art as a conduit to deepen the community’s knowledge of social equity, environmental practices, and economic viability. This partnership between the Galleries, EEI, the Department of Environmental and Sustainability Sciences, and the School of Management and Marketing is inspired by Kean University’s participation in the STARS, a program of aashe, a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. STARS is the work of the Sustainability Taskforce, a Kean-wide effort championed by the President’s Office.
Panelists will bring their research, personal experience, and artistic approach to the table for a thoughtful discussion on the intersection of art, sustainability, higher education, and the human condition.
